Saturday Apr 04, 2020
Saturday Apr 04, 2020
The Canada Pavilion first opened at Epcot on October 1, 1982 (the same day that the park opened at Walt Disney World). In addition to its beautiful design, the Canada pavilion also features a CircleVision film attraction called "Canada: Far and Wide", which debuted in January 2020 and replaced the former attraction called "O Canada". Narrated by Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy, Canada Far and Wide takes Epcot guests on an enchanting journey through the nation that will inspire anyone to take a visit to the real place.
In this episode, we'll discuss the history of this Epcot pavilion, including the former O Canada film versions, and take you on a binaural journey to experience the show in 360-degree audio.

Saturday Mar 07, 2020
Saturday Mar 07, 2020
Festival of the Lion King was an opening day attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom when it opened at Walt Disney World on April 22, 1998. Throughout the last 22 years, the show hasn't changed much (other than a location change from Camp Minnie-Mickey to Africa) because it remains a fan favorite devoted to the 1994 Disney animated film.
In this episode, we'll discuss The Festival of the Lion King in detail, covering its history, details, fun facts, and a binaural recording of the full attraction from 2019. We'll also discuss why it's a must-see attraction at Walt Disney World and is especially perfect for families with young kids.

"Yehaa" Bob Jackson (Legacy Cast Member, Port Orleans Riverside)
Saturday Feb 22, 2020
Saturday Feb 22, 2020
"Yehaa" Bob Jackson is a Disney Legacy Cast Member who has been performing at the River Roost Lounge at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort for more than 23 years (dating back to the days when the resort was known as Disney's Dixie Landings Resort). Bob's show is one that many visitors to Walt Disney World know well. Personally, many of my Disney trips as a kid were spent at Port Orleans Riverside and included an evening or two watching Bob's performance. When you watch Bob perform, it's incredible to witness his energy and stamina. His show is so electric that even minutes into his performance, kids and adults of all ages are doing loud Tarzan roars, forming conga lines, and singing classic Disney songs from the top of their lungs. Outside of Disney, Bob also performs for Gives Kids the World, for the Orange County Library system, and for his local church in Orlando, and he continues to compose new music, now completing his 15th original album.
In today's episode, I have the honor of chatting with Bob about his legacy at Disney, the origins of "Yehaa" Bob as a character and of his show at Walt Disney World, his musical compositions, and more.
A very special thanks to Bob for lending three songs for us to share on this podcast episode as well, including his original song, "Near the Fire of Life" (played in the show intro), and his covers of the classic Disney songs, "Hakuna Matata" (originally written by Elton John with lyrics by Tim Rice for "The Lion King") and "Let's Go Fly a Kite" (originally written by Richard and Robert Sherman for "Mary Poppins"), both played at the very end of the episode.

Hall of Presidents at the Magic Kingdom
Saturday Feb 15, 2020
Saturday Feb 15, 2020
The Hall of Presidents was an opening day attraction at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World (opening day was October 1, 1971), but its history goes all the way back to Walt Disney and his team of WED Enterprise Imagineers in 1957. In addition to some incredible history, the Hall of Presidents is also perhaps the most authentic Magic Kingdom attraction. Disney even went so far as to affect a change in United States federal law to create a truly authentic experience for guests, which we'll discuss in this episode (I'll even reference the specific law, which took some digging to find).
In this episode, we'll discuss The Hall of Presidents in detail, covering its history, details, connection to Walt Disney, and a binaural recording of the full attraction from 2019. We'll also discuss why it's a must-see attraction at Walt Disney World.
